Dubai is the most populated of the UAE’s seven emirates and has rapidly become one of the world’s most dynamic growth areas. Founded in the 1800s as a fishing village, Dubai has transformed into a major centre for regional and international trade since the early 20th century. The city is renowned for hosting Expo 2020, which showcased its global ambitions and innovation. Dubai is also home to iconic landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and the Burj Al Arab, often referred to as the world’s only seven-star hotel. The emirate’s economy is diversified, with significant contributions from trade, tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services, while oil production accounted for less than 1 percent of its GDP in 2018. Strategically located on the eastern Arabian Peninsula along the coast of the Persian Gulf, Dubai is a major global transport hub for both passengers and cargo. 

The city has a population of around 3.60 million (as of 2022). More than 90% of the population are expatriates. The presence of Humberts in Dubai will provide a catalyst for business growth between the Middle East and the UK.
